Sunshine!!!!!

Go play outside. It is beautiful, and we're both outside! If you're without shades, stop by urban and pick up some look alike ray-bans for $10. We'll be on Mass St. shopping and enjoying the weather! Love, T&K.

Saying I Do

I'm not married or engaged, nor will I be in the near future, however these wedding dresses are to die for and fun to look at if nothing else. Tennessee St.'s top four designers featured today are... Vera Wang (obviously), Monique Lhuillier, Amsale, and Ines Di Santo. When it comes to wedding dresses, both of us can be pretty critical, but these four make the cut and are absolutely stunning! Check out Chatterberries website for a list of their top ten dresses lineup, including the ones that didn't make our cut.

Sweet Southern Spring

While Miss Tessa hit the west coast for some family time and a wonderful vacation with beau George, I flew south... scratch that drove south with my best friend Alan and had the most amazing spring break of all time. From Nashville to Atlanta to Santa Rosa Beach FL, and finally New Orleans- the south was beautiful and just what I needed for a little rest and relaxation, not to mention a little pampering too. Except New Orleans, which was just out right crazy and liver damaging maybe, but so fun. So now that both Tessa and I are back in Lawrence, we're ready to get back into the swing of things and excited to share the trends and updates post sb. I also found it fitting that one of the latest hot trends is going "southern bell" with... you guessed it, floral patterns! We're loving this trend however because in addition to the flowery patterns, this trend is all about the cute. Think sundresses, frills, sweetheart lines, charms, keds, and denim (done appropriately)... or Sookie Stackhouse. To check out more goods go to elle.com!

Rachel Zoe Live on QVC

Rachel Zoe's keen eye for fashion is one of the many reasons why she is one of my all time favorite stylists. Rachel's unique boho-chic style and fun personality is what sets her apart from other stylists.

The debut of her Spring 2010 Collection is finally here! You can definitely tell that her collection is a perfect creation of her ingenious ideas. The live preview airs on QVC tomorrow, March 23 at 3pm. I think it's safe to say that fans of Zoe (and everyone else for that matter) will be more than impressed with the collection.

At last, Back from Spring Break

My fun-filled Spring Break which consisted of introducing my boyfriend to an array of extended family and friends, job interviews (nerve racking), adventures to Disneyland, making an appearance at the professional Tennis Tournament in Palm Desert, and finally, relaxing in George's cozy home in Kansas City. But all is sadly coming to an abrupt end. I must say, this Spring Break was by far the best so far! But I can't be more excited to finally post again.

The Final Goodbye

The last exquisite, yet small collection by the infamous Alexander McQueen has made its debut. The collection was viewed by an exclusive audience in a little Paris salon over the past couple of days. To put it bluntly, it is remarkable and a perfect reminder of McQueen's talent, which will be missed. The collection is a mix of intricately woven fabrics, hand painted gold feathers, and folded fabrics. Simply beautiful. The location, models, and the designs take you back in time to the fifteenth century. McQueen's inspiration? Hieronymus Bosch's, Garden of Earthly Delights. The painting depicts the history of the world in a three panel oil medium of vivid nude imagery. McQueen's collection is fashion and artwork combined with a mix of modern and historical inspirations. Pure genius.

UO & Wedding Gowns

Urban Outfitters, one of our favorite stores here in Lawrence, just announced their introduction into the Wedding Industry. There is no denying their recent success in the market, which is due to their multi-range of trends in fashion, apartments, accessories and bikes that are affordable and exactly what you need/want. The gowns will be under the Anthropologie label (appropriate) and range from $1,000-$5,000, very affordable. These heirloom gowns will be inspired from the facet of generations thus far and will be one of a kind. I know we both have high expectation for these gowns and we can't wait to see them!

Tick Tock Triplex

Oddly enough, Brooklyn's most expensive property is nestled in what used to be (back in the day) a cardboard box factory, now called The ClockTower Building. The pictures of the penthouse are amazing/totally worth sharing and I thought a little break from our typical fashionista flair might be refreshing. I stumbled across this listing earlier today and when I showed my roommates I got a, It's sooooooooo beautiful response that seemed more than fitting. They're right, it's simply stunning like something out a fairy tale- a girl can dream right?

So here's the low down on this gorgeous NY property (courtesy of TwistedSifter.com)

The ClockTower Building Penthouse

- Listed at $25 million USD
- 3,000 square foot main floor features an open concept design with 16 foot ceilings
- Each wall is dominated by a striking 14-foot fully functional window clock
- A glass-walled elevator and a three-story floating staircase at the center of the space lead to smaller floors that narrow toward the top of the tower
- There are three bedrooms on the 2,300-square-foot second floor
- On the third floor, there is a 988-square-foot open loft with a 15-foot ceiling
- Of course, at the very top of the building is a tiny windswept crow’s nest

Endless eBay Joy

Instead of studying for my Brit Lit midterm tomorrow morning, I'm shopping online. Sometimes it's just one of those days where you say what the hell, I really really love these shoes... and then you impulsively buy them. My case in point. Only today wasn't about the perfect clogs I've been searching for, today I bought dresses. I have early Spring fever and couldn't resist the temptation of Gilt Groupe's Marc by Marc Jacobs sale and the effect that vintage dresses on eBay have on my poor little heart. Usually I'm not the biggest online shopping fan, but when it's a find, it's a find. So friends, I'm posting one of my recent purchases. I'm not modeling the dress of course but I'm impatient and can't wait to put pics up. When my new Marc Jacobs dress arrives, I'll definitely have a post/pictures ready to go! Hope you enjoy, and on a second but also exciting note- thank goodness for the sunshine today!

Show and Tell: Sophomore

Sophomore just launched their fifth Spring/Summer collection with designer Chrissie Miller's visions of brilliant simplicity turning heads. Known for their attention to the basics, Sophomore's new line features some stellar graphic tees and perfectly hued high-waisted jean shorts. The coolest part about the collection? The short film highlighting the collection. The film follows several characters and their stories about crazy endeavors in high school and love- it's a pretty cool short, but the clothing is what really sticks out. This isn't as surprising since the clothes are the main focus of the film, but nevertheless its a neat piece altogether. Check it out on http://www.sophomorenyc.com. About the collection: We love the subtle blues and the silky tanks- back to basics and we say, yes. Visit their website to see the full Spring/Summer 2010.
